Hershey's Chocolate World is rolling out an extensive schedule of autumn programming, themed confectionery items, and interactive events for the fall 2026 season. Capitalizing on its status as a premier chocolate destination, the attraction is leaning heavily into seasonal festivities by broadening its seasonal entertainment offerings. From an inaugural holiday overlay on a core attraction to a wide variety of bakery goods and beverages, the complex aims to deliver a comprehensive Halloween experience for visitors of all ages.
The full slate of autumn festivities officially commences in mid-September and will operate through November 1, 2026. While the vast majority of the specialized events, themed decor, and attraction upgrades are exclusive to the primary flagship property located in Hershey, Pennsylvania, select autumn menu items and experiences will also be made available at the Hershey's Chocolate World location situated in New York City’s Times Square.
Among the most significant operational highlights of this season is the debut of a Halloween overlay on the Hershey's Chocolate Tour. The free-to-ride indoor tour serves as a signature anchor for the facility, educating guests on the chocolate-making journey from cocoa bean to finished candy bar. For this year's seasonal run from September 12 through November 1, the attraction will receive its very first holiday-themed visual upgrade.
The ride transformation is centered within the attraction's familiar Barnyard sequence. Guests riding through the area will see a complete fall re-theming featuring glowing carved pumpkins, warm twinkling lights, and seasonal decor. Adding a festive sense of humor to the classic scene, the animatronic farm animals—including the beloved cows and pigs—will appear dressed up in creative Halloween costumes throughout the seasonal event.
Costumed entertainment will also be accessible outside of the ride environment, as several of Hershey's brand characters prepare to meet with guests. Familiar mascots including Hersh, Reese, and Kiss will be sporting custom Halloween outfits for scheduled character meet-and-greet sessions throughout the Pennsylvania complex, giving families and visiting fans opportunities for holiday photos.
For younger guests, the destination is bringing back its annual Trick-or-Treat Trail, open to children ages 12 and younger from September 12 through November 1. Participating children can collect sweet treats across four designated stations established inside Hershey's Chocolate World. Guests who choose to pair their trip with a visit to adjacent Hersheypark can access an additional six candy stations, creating a grand total of 10 trick-or-treat stops across the two properties, fully included with Hersheypark admission.
In an effort to provide inclusive entertainment for all guests, Hershey's Chocolate World has also scheduled the return of its dedicated Sensory Friendly Night. Set to take place on October 21 between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., the evening will feature modified operational conditions designed for guests with sensory processing needs. The event includes reduced volume across sound systems and attractions, along with comfortable trick-or-treating stops and low-stimulus character meet-and-greets.
The culinary department at the complex is introducing a broad assortment of autumn-inspired sweets that utilize key Hershey brand components. Confectionery designers have focused heavily on pairing autumn fruits, spices, and baked pastry crusts with established wafer, chocolate, and caramel products to create limited-edition seasonal desserts.
A central highlight of the dessert collection is the Caramel Apple Parfait with KIT KAT Count. This multi-layered pastry creation combines smooth spiced apple mousse with diced, caramel-glazed apples, fluffy whipped topping, and drizzles of Hershey's Caramel Syrup. The cup is garnished with crunchy pieces of chopped KIT KAT and crowned with a full-sized KIT KAT Count Bar.
Visitors interested in traditional baked goods can select from seasonal cheesecake and pie options. The KIT KAT Pumpkin Cheesecake features a rich, creamy pumpkin filling resting on a house-made crust composed of crushed Hershey's S'mores Graham Crackers, finished with whipped topping and a KIT KAT bar. For traditional pumpkin spice enthusiasts, the Hershey's Nuggets Pumpkin Spice Pie delivers spiced pumpkin filling inside a flaky pastry crust, topped with whipped cream, pumpkin pie spices, and a Hershey's Pumpkin Spice Latte Nugget.
Beverage programs across the property have also been overhauled to incorporate seasonal flavor profiles, featuring an entry into the modern dirty soda trend. The Hershey's Caramel Apple Dirty Soda combines Starry lemon-lime soda with Jolly Rancher Green Apple puree and Hershey's Caramel Syrup, finished with a generous crown of sweet foam for a multi-textured cold drink experience.
Milkshake enthusiasts are offered two contrasting drink choices to suit different flavor preferences. The Hershey's Nuggets Pumpkin Spice Latte Milkshake blends creamy vanilla ice cream with real pumpkin pie filling, milk, and caramel syrup, completed with whipped cream, warm spices, a caramel drizzle, and a Pumpkin Spice Nugget. Meanwhile, guests seeking to bypass pumpkin flavors altogether can order the Hershey's Special Dark Milkshake, crafted with chocolate ice cream, chocolate milk, and dark chocolate syrup.
Adult guests visiting the Pennsylvania location can also choose from an expanded list of 21-and-older seasonal cocktails. Highlighted options include the Salted Caramel Spiked Apple Cider, which combines warm pressed apple cider with Crown Royal Vanilla Whisky, salted caramel vodka, and Hershey's Caramel Syrup, alongside specialty mixed drinks such as the Jolly Rancher Apple Trickies cocktail.
Through this balanced mix of attraction enhancements, inclusive community programming, and expanded food and beverage offerings, Hershey's Chocolate World aims to establish a comprehensive fall destination. By pairing classic Halloween trick-or-treating traditions with new dessert innovations, the Pennsylvania attraction ensures extensive seasonal variety for autumn travelers.
